The Vocal Jazz Ensemble is a highly select group of singers who must be a member of the Concert Choir as well. The VJE meets after school for only 2 hours a week, and must have a strong committment to the group. They perform at the three major concerts during the school year, but also have various extracurricular performances as well.



In April 2008, the VJE traveled to Virginia Beach and competed in Festivals of Music, earning a first place trophy. They also competed in Music in the Parks at Six Flags Great Adventure in May and finished second.
